Notes Of Gratitude

In a heartwarming gesture, students from Nanyang Primary School recently prepared dozens of handmade thank-you cards for Mr Tan Chee Nam, a veteran in the egg farming industry whom we’re so proud to have on our team. The cards, filled with colourful drawings, thoughtful messages, and heartfelt appreciation, were presented as a sincere expression of thanks from young minds who had learned about the importance of supporting local farms.

Inspired by what they learned about local farming and the importance of being self-sufficient, the students decided to show their appreciation in the most personal way—through art and words. Students from different classes designed cards with pretty illustrations of eggs and chickens! Inside each card were handwritten notes thanking Chew’s Egg for our hard work and dedication to ensure a steady supply of eggs to Singaporeans.

Heartfelt messages such as “Thank you for supplying eggs to Singapore for us to eat!” and thoughtful reflections such as “I appreciate your efforts to help Singapore be self-sufficient” were written. The cards collectively expressed gratitude and admiration for Mr Tan and our team.

When the cards were delivered to us, we were both surprised and moved. Receiving the cards brought smiles to all our faces! Knowing that the young ones understand and appreciate our efforts means the world to us. It reminds us why we do what we do.
