Driven by compassion and an ambition to be actively involved in empowering local communities, Chew's Agriculture embarked on several Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in 2022 that improved the lives of vulnerable members of our society.
Fei Yue Family Service Centre
One of the privileges of being a prominent name in the agricultural industry and a trusted brand of heartlanders is having the opportunity to work closely with non-profit organisations dedicated to helping the underprivileged. Fei Yue Family Service Centre is a non-profit with years of experience in community service since its inception in 1991.
They have successfully effected life transformations in many families and individuals. Chew’s Agriculture is proud to partner with Fei Yue Family Service Centre (Yew Tee) in providing fresh food ration bundles to low-income families in the Yew Tee and Limbong boundary. The Service Centre conducts quarterly distribution of fresh food bundles annually. These fresh food bundles contain chicken, eggs, frozen food, vegetables, fish and fruits.
With global poverty on the rise causing food insecurity and inflation in 2022, this timely project brings joy and hope to those who need it most. We plan to continue supporting this noble cause to benefit the community.
ACE Seniors
Seniors play a crucial role in nation-building. As such, Chew’s Agriculture was privileged to work with Zeles Network, a social enterprise promoting volunteerism in Singapore. Together, we helped coordinate ACE Seniors’ flagship project - National Day Celebrations for Frail Seniors in Homes.
In collaboration with Zeles Network, we brought cheer to residents in a home for seniors during the national day celebrations. Our employees helped to pack and deliver goodie bags filled with essentials useful to them. Adding to the cheer was a huge National Day birthday cake for a truly joyous celebration.
ACE Seniors is a Singapore-based social enterprise that brings joy to seniors across nursing homes and community hospitals. They are a professional interest group that offers a holistic approach towards successful ageing. They help equip seniors with the necessary tools, tips, skills and activities to remain active and engaged in the community.
Just like how Chew’s Agriculture provides the best farm practices and care for the feathered friends on our farm, we hope to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals under the care of ACE Seniors.
Care Community Ltd
Charity begins at home and Chew’s Agriculture made a donation to Care Community Ltd, a voluntary welfare organisation providing welfare assistance to the elderly, handicapped and underprivileged children in Singapore. The funds received by the organisation were used to distribute free groceries and arrange for free medical care for the elderly and poor families.
Nanyang Community Club Food Charity Event
Giving is better than receiving and such joy was shared at the Nanyang Community Club Food Charity Event 2022. Chew’s Agriculture contributed farm fresh eggs for this successful event. The contribution supported many lower-income households residing at HDB rental blocks, thus reducing their expenses on essential grocery items for the month.
